Chamber Supports Props 57/58...
The Redwood City-San Mateo County Chamber of Commerce Executive
Committee voted yesterday to endorse both Propositions 57
and 58, The California Recovery Plan, both of which will appear
on the March 2nd primary election ballot.
Proposition 57, a one-time $15 billion bond to pay off the
state's accumulated deficit, and one piece of the Governor's
California Recovery Plan.
Proposition 58, a balanced budget requirement that will stop
the state from spending more than it receives in revenues.
It is the other piece of the Governor's recovery plan.
