Newly Formed Latino Business Outreach Task Force

Latino Business Outreach Committee hard at work Chaired by Memo Morantes and guest speaker Supervisor Rose Jacobs Gibson.

Under the Leadership of Memo Morantes, Morantes Financial and Insurance Services and Connie Paniagua from the San Mateo Credit Union, the Redwood City-San Mateo County Chamber of Commerce has held two meetings of the newly formed Latino Business Outreach Task Force. The Task Force is a way for the Chamber to encourage the participation of its Latino Business Owners and help them increase their market share of the potential client base in the area. Also, their particular business concerns will be addressed through workshops and networking with local government and business leaders.

Their last meeting featured a presentation by County Supervisor Rose Jacobs Gibson and Terry Burnes, the Planning Administrator for the County of San Mateo. They reviewed the permit process and discussed ways to help any business get through the maze of regulations.

The Task Force meets once a month at the Chamber Office.
