Redwood City-San Mateo County Chamber of Commerce Honors its Leadership

Jim Hartnett, Immediate Past Chairman of the Board, Rosanne Foust, 2003 Chairman of the Board and Alyn Beals, 2001 Chairman of the Board.

REDWOOD CITY, CA - January 31, 2003 - The 105th Annual Dinner and Awards Banquet held January 29 at the Hotel Sofitel recognized those people who made possible a very successful year for the 1400 member organization under the leadership of its 2002 Chairman of the Board Jim Hartnett, Hartnett, Smith & Associates.

Highlights of the evening featured the presentation of the Athena Businesswoman Of the Year Award to Rosanne Foust, Executive Vice President of Alsace Development International and Hartnett¹s selection for his Chamber Person of the Year presented to Chamber Vice Chairman John Adams, Executive Vice President, Wells Fargo. Adams and Wells Fargo Bank were also selected, along with Provident Credit Union to receive the chamber¹s Golden Apple Awards for their contributions to education.

Master of Ceremonies for the evening¹s event was Alyn Beals, Beals Martin, Inc., also a Chamber Past Chairman. Hartnett took time to specifically recognize not only his Executive Officers and key event and department heads, but also 8 past chairmen. He said, "The chamber is unique in that it not only continues to grow in size and influence but those who pass through its chairs stay involved at the highest level".

The evening ended with Hartnett passing the gavel to 2003 Chairman of the Board Rosanne Foust. Foust said, "That it was important that the Chamber continue to grow and become even more effective in its advocacy role, growing the chamber and building a strong communications link to our members".
