Shrek Finds A Home In Redwood City

REDWOOD CITY, CA - July 7, 2003 Redwood City-San Mateo County Chamber of Commerce Chairman of the Board,
Rosanne Foust, is excited to announce that one of Redwood City's newest
businesses, PDI/DreamWorks (http://www.pdi.com), will be featured this year at
the Chamber's Annual Business Forum and Showcase, Thursday, October 2, 2003
at the Oracle Corporation Conference Center.
The 2002 Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences Winner of the "Best
Animated Feature Film" Shrek, PDI/DreamWorks has been a leader in the
field of computer animation and effects for more than two decades. It was
founded in 1980, creating some of the first flying logos and broadcast
graphics ever seen. They set an industry milestone with their revolutionary
morphing technology used in Michael Jackson's "Black and White" music video.
Today, PDI/DreamWorks continues to be an industry leader, pioneering
animation technology that brings life to their animated feature films.
The Business Forum, co-sponsored by Oracle Corporation, San Francisco
Business Times, San Mateo County Times and Peninsula TV, will give those
attending a chance to learn first hand how these animated films are
produced. In addition, there will be a business showcase highlighting
other major companies in Redwood City.
Showcase begins at 4:00pm, Program Presentation from 5:00-6:00pm followed by
a hosted Reception. The cost to attend the event is $50 for Chamber members
