REDWOOD CITY, CA - August 31, 2006 Wow! Your Chamber
is definitely on a roll. Let's take a quick look back since
our annual dinner in January. We continue to be the third
largest Chamber in the Bay area having signed up 170 new members
so far this year. The 37th Annual Progress Seminar in April
was the place to be for the folks who make it all happen in
San Mateo County. For the eighth consecutive year the Seminar
was a sellout. The Wells Fargo Benefit Golf Tournament was
once
again a resounding success generating $34,000 for Kainos Home
and Training Center. May also found us holding our Business
Mixer at the North Fair Oaks Community Center co-hosted by
members of the Chamber¹s Latino Outreach Committee. June
started with the graduation of our 18th year class of
Leadership Redwood City/Belmont/San Carlos. This exciting
program has now seen more than 500 graduates.
And as we take a look ahead; Back from summer break, we resume
our monthly Membership Mixers at Hiller Aviation Museum, Wednesday,
September 20. And that same morning, join us at the Sequoia
Club for Good Morning Redwood City. And September will see
40 participants (another sold out class)
kickoff this year¹s Leadership Class. October starts
with guaranteed fun as our golfers take the course on October
2 for the Chamber¹s Annual Invitational Golf Tournament.
And join us October 18 for a county wide membership mixer
at the San Mateo County History Museum and a great opportunity
to see the progress being made in the revitalization of Redwood
City downtown. And if that isn¹t enough, we have a terrific
program on Managing Change at Oracle on October 23. I hope
to see you at many of these events. For details on any of
them, just call the Chamber at 364-1722.
