This year Leadership Redwood City/Belmont/San Carlos Alumni came together at
a reception held at San Mateo Credit Union Corporate Headquarters to honor
two graduates and induct them into the Leadership Hall of Fame. From Class
of 2000, Rosanne Foust, Executive Vice President of Alsace Development
International and Redwood City's Vice Mayor was presented by Jeff Gee. From
Class of 1994, California State Assemblymember Ira Ruskin was presented.
Chairman of the Board Barry Jolette, thanked John Adams and Wells Fargo for
taking the initiative several years ago to start a program to honor
graduates from the Leadership Redwood City/Belmont/San Carlos program who
have distinguished themselves in the communities they have chosen to serve.
The first two inductees were from the first year class 19 years ago, San
Mateo County Supervisor Rich Gordon and Keith Bautista. Last year's
inductees were Gino Gasparini and Alicia Aguirre.
Leadership Redwood City/Belmont/San Carlos has had over 540 people graduate
and a proven continued history to develop leaders who have gone on to
accept some type of leadership role in their
communities.
A large thank you to Wells Fargo, San Mateo Credit Union, DPR Construction
and Norcal Waste Systems for sponsoring the event and making it possible for
all proceeds to go directly to this year¹s Leadership Scholarship Fund.
