Lourdes Carini Named the 2012 Redwood City Business Woman of the Year

The Redwood City-San Mateo County Chamber of Commerce Business Woman of the Year Award for 2012, co-sponsored United American Bank in Redwood City, was presented to Lourdes Carini. Lourdes is Branch Manager for the San Mateo Credit Union.

Lourdes joined the San Mateo Credit Union in 2010. Following her success in bringing the North Fair Oaks Branch to number one, she was tapped to head up their newest branch in East Palo Alto in late 2011.

Not only a member of the Redwood City-San Mateo County Chamber of Commerce she is a member of the Woodside Terrace Kiwanis Club, the Redwood City Woman’s Club, and a Director of El Centro de Libertad. Lourdes is more than a member of all these organizations spear heading key projects that raise money for those in need, builds awareness and a sense of community.

The recipient of the BWYA received $1000 from United American Bank, which was donated to a local charity of her choice at the Chamber Annual Awards Dinner, February 1, 2013 at Hotel Sofitel. United American Bank continues to make an impact as a great partner in the business community in helping to not only recognize deserving women, but this year to again help a local charity meet their financial goals.
