Greg Greenway and Jim Bigelow recognized as 2012 Chamber Persons of the Year
Greg Greenway, Executive Director of Seaport Industrial Association along with Jim Bigelow, owner of Bay Area Transportation and Housing Associates were recognized at the Redwood City-San Mateo County Chamber of Commerce's 115th Annual Dinner last night as the Chamber's Persons of the Year. Chairman of the Board, Stacey Wagner, Director of Public Affairs with Kaiser Permanente, surprised Greg and Jim as they were announced as the two 2012 Chamber Persons of the Year at the event held at the Hotel Sofitel. Greenway and Bigelow become the 41st and 42nd members of the Chamber so honored since 1970.
Steve Penna Golden Apple Award Recipient
Chamber’s Award Recipients was recognized at its Annual Dinner, February 1.
Recognizing the contribution of business to education Steve Penna, Owner and Publisher of the Spectrum Magazine, will receive the Chamber’s Golden Apple Award this year for his commitment to local education.
The Golden Apple recognizes people in the business community who strive to make a difference in city schools. Nominated by Jo-Ann Sockolov, Executive Director of the Redwood City Education Foundation, Steve Penna is being recognized for not only the support he has given to the RCEF, but for his work with many organizations “as a key partner in advancing opportunities for all the students of Redwood City’s School Districts.”
